I learnt the importance of having a simple lesson plan drafted, and especially for inexperienced teachers, how important it is to have back up activities in case there is lots of time left over, or how to be flexible and cut or shorten other activities if time was running over. Keeping a record is also important not just so you know what you've taught for each of your many classes, but also as a form of feedback for how well each class went and what you can do to improve each time.
