I understand that in order to provide students with a well rounded classroom experience, i should utilise my own skills to create non-authentic material, but also balance it out by providing Authentic material such as menu's, newspapers, poems, songs and brochures. It is my duty to analyse course books and provide material depending on the level of the class. That it is ok to adapt and supplement or replace course book material if needed. My creativity shouldn't stop at creating materials but should be used for lesson plans so i don't base entire lessons on course book material.
