This unit taught me the difference between created and authentic materials as well as the benefits and disadvantages of coursebooks. Not only am I now able to identify different types of materials, but I also know the benefits, disadvantages as well as some examples of each type of material. This unit also mentioned different types of coursebooks that are often used depending on the dialect of English the teacher is teaching.
