Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

This last unit covered the use and importance of testing and evaluating. This is particularly important as it helps teachers to assess the student's English level, monitor progress, and identify areas that need improvement. This can be achieved by: Personal tutorials between teacher and students - although it might be difficult to find one-on-one time with all students, this can allow teachers to gain a better insight on what's needed; Students evaluation - this allow students to provide feedback on the course and gives them the opportunity to point out areas they might want to work more on, as well as allowing them to feel more included and aware of the teaching structure. The last method of evaluating progress is by getting the students to take a test. This is used in all schools, and can either be a standard test required and provided by the school (for example, to identify a student's English level), or created by the teachers throughout the year to evaluate progress. Most schools will start with a Placement Test, which is designed to identify the student's English level, and place them in the correct class. This test can either be multiple choice, as well as a conversation with a teacher to establish proficiency in speaking skills. Similar to the Practice Test, a more extensive version is the Diagnostic test. This can be used at the beginning of a class by a teacher to identify what areas and topics need work, as well as helping in preparing for future lessons. The most common test taken in schools is a Progress Test. These can be taken at different time throughout the year, and are used to monitor the students's understanding of the topics covered in class. These usually need to be balanced and cover all skills - speaking, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. It is worth mentioning some teachers believe this type of standardized testing can be more of a memory test rather than knowledge. Schools can also use Practice Tests, which are usually in preparation for an external exam. Most External Exams are recognized by schools, universities, and work places in English speaking countries, and each year thousands of foreign people take these tests to gain a qualification that allows them to study, work, and live abroad.
