This unit is about modal and phrasal verbs as well as the use of the passive and active voice and relative clauses. Modal verbs express obligation, possibilitiy, permission, ability and advice (some of them are: may, could, should, would, must, ought to, amongst others). The passive voice is when the object of an active verb becomes the subject of a passive verb and it is generally used when the person is not known or not important. Regarding relative clauses, there are two types of relative clauses: defining and non-defining, the first one contains information which is essential for the message and the second one contains information which is not essential and is generally separate by commas. Finally, it talked about the three different types of phrasal verbs: intransitive, transitive separable and transitive inseparable.
