Course books and materials are important for carrying out an effective lesson. These can be used to their advantage but should not be overused at any given time. As teaches prepare their lesson they should understand that they need not utilize all that are in the course books since it may not satisfy the needs of all the students. Therefore adjustments can be made where necessary. One very important thing that I learned was that we need to have a balance of both authentic and non-authentic materials for activities in the classroom.
