This unit focused on what one should consider when selecting course materials, and how to use and adapt the course materials to the group of students being taught. I learned that following the course book too rigidly may not a good idea, and some parts should be skipped while others are incorporated or perhaps tweaked to fit the needs of the student or students. This is important as each student or group of students will have specific needs, and a good teacher should know how to select proper materials for them.
