Unit 18 presents a general review about modal auxiliary verbs, passive voice, relative clauses and phrasal verbs. As stated in its introduction, unit 18 is the last unit to review English grammar, which might explain the very general review offered about these subjects, encouraging the teacher to keep exploring on his/her own for a deeper understanding from now on.
It could have been interesting to offer more examples and teaching ideas, as these grammar subjects somehow lack of clear and definitive rules, and the best way to teach them is through a lot of examples. In my opinion, some of the past units, where it was less pertinent, a lot of pages were dedicated to not very helpful examples and teaching ideas. Maybe this unit should have been one fo them instead. Nonetheless, it was able to show me some of the few rules that govern the relative clauses and phrasal verbs subjects, as I wasn't much aware of them.
