I learned that in order to motivate and bring out the best in the student, we have to build a positive environment. The educator needs to be kind and patient when the student makes mistakes. We need to encourage the students in a caring manner so as to ensure that the student does not feel discouraged. As educators, we need to remember not to talk for too long at the beginning of the class as the students might lose focus. It is best to make the lesson interactive and fun.
