Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

There are two main special groups introduced in this unit: one for young learners and another for adults. However, in total there are more types of beginners such as the absolute beginner and the false beginner. Beginners fall into any of these categories. To teach beginners, it is important to be as visual as possible and to come very prepared to class. One-on-one sessions will cover more material than a classroom session. I learned that it's useful not to over-correct as it may demotivate the students. Although I was previously aware of most points outlined for young learners, I was surprised by what I did not know about adult learners. Teaching business language, for example, comes with a lot of responsibilities. There are three teaching ways: one-to-one, in-school, and in-company. The nature of the business English class is unique. Clients may be tired because of their work schedule. In the extreme case, a lesson plan may turn into a full conversation class. Before the course, a needs analysis is required to gather information about the student and a first glance at what they need to be educated about. I also was reassured because the unit mentions how I do not need to be an expert in the industry or field of the learner. It is paramount that I don't forget that I'm a language teacher, not an expert on the business end. Lastly, the unit covers the monolingual and multilingual classes. In both classes, usage of the mother tongue should be minimized. In a multilingual class, the common language is English so it is easier to control that. To make sure of maximum English use, structured activities are a good idea so that students do not run out of phrases or words when communicating. Monitoring should take place, so a pen and paper should be utilized to your advantage.
