This unit was all about the involvement and interactions of teachers within a classroom setting, and how best to proceed in certain situations; such as when observing/monitoring a students oral progress it's best to maintain a slight distance so not to distract the student (unless the student is a quiet speaker) and also to take notes to help or praise at a later time (if needed). Whilst also giving awareness into the age groups and language level of those who decide to learn English as a foregin language, and the differences between young leanrers and adults.
What I found particulary insightful and useful was the age factor into motivation and how adults may become more hesitant due to past experiences within learning facilties and also 'losing face' as opposed to a young learner who despite possibly having some experince in a classroom setting will be more openminded. The reason I find this useful is it gives me more understanding of how to proceed with certain age groups and how to make a class both fun and motivational to keep all those in the class motivated to learn.
