Throughout unit 1, I have learnt qualities that make both good teachers, and learners. A quality that is possessed by both good learners and teachers is the desire to teach/learn. I have also learned the various roles a teacher can play to effectively teach the particular lesson being taught. Roles such as being a 'prompter' or a 'resource', both vital roles in good teaching. I have also learnt the different stages a student can be in while learning, and the importance of not pushing too much on the student, but rather giving the student appropriate material for their stage in learning a foreign language.
