The Unit offers an overview of the fairly complex subject of pronunciation. This unit was extremely interesting and useful to me because I had always been very focused on achieving correct pronunciation, and It is a fundamental resource for my other occupations in Performing arts and Media. The teaching techniques offered in this Unit are a good starting point to establish an entertaining lesson. I feel it provided me a better understanding of the many factors that involve pronunciation (stress, rhythm, intonation, spelling), a great refresher on the IPA, and useful guidelines on how to approach the subject in the classroom. It allowed me to practice and improve my own pronunciation as well.
