Unit one has taught me the importance of the several different roles of a teacher and knowing how and when to switch the role dictated by the stage and type of activity. As well as maintaining a professional, lively personality and relationship with my students. Ive learnt greatly about the roles expected by the teacher and student-centered vs teacher-centered lessons. From Unit one i have learnt which role to take and when it is appropriate, attributes of a good teacher, how to involved and encourage students, effective teaching type depending level, age, and culture of the students. The most important is the relationship between the student and teacher. To be enthusiastic, encouraging, ,knowledgable of subject matter, caring, sensitive to corrections without effecting motivation of students and involving all students equally.
