This unit was about the Receptive Skills we use while teaching and learning a language i.e. reading and listening. There are many different goals to keep in mind while approaching either way of receiving information visually and verbally. These goals influence the way we teach a subject, we can try to predict, find out something specific, pay close attention to detail or just get the general idea. People who aren't native need practice learning how to suss out important information.
