This unit focused on the productive skills (speaking and writing). It talked about the difficulties students have especially in spelling and discussed why speakjng and writing are both integral to fluency. It gave a lot of example of different activities one can incorporate into classrooms and stressed the importance of games. It helped me clarify how much I should integrate handwriting into my classrooms as I teach in Japan.
