In this lesson, I learned about the pros and cons of coursebooks and how to choose a good coursebook. Some important things to keep in mind when choosing a coursebook is how practical it will be for the students in the class. For example, finding something that is readily available and affordable will be helpful. I also learned about authentic and created materials. Authentic materials are good teaching tools as they allow the students to put what they have learned into practice using the same materials that native speakers use. Created materials are good teaching tools as well as they are specifically designed by the teacher to supplement specific lessons.
