This course is very important. It helps teachers keep track of students during the course of the year, and helps to identify students who are struggling to catch up or receive extra tutoring. This simplifies the process for teachers in general, and creates a universal marker that will show students their achievements and progress during their English classes. Students tend to become intimidated or scared of tests, but all they really do is help them stay on track. The only hole in the system is that everything counts as a grade, and to move forward you are more or less forced to comply with all the standards to move to the next level. This can create tremendous anxiety for students, especially when you are in school for your entire youth.
