In this unit I have learnt that students require 4 things when learning a new language, these include being exposed to it, understanding its meaning, understanding how it's structured, and be able to practice and produce it as well. I have also learnt of the different reasons why students might find vocabulary difficult to understand as they can get confused by similarities to their own language and English words they already know, spelling and pronunciation, and appropriacy to the context in which they are producing.
