This unit taught me about the different types of special groups that you might teach as an English teacher. These included: beginners, individual students, young learners / children, business english / English for specific purposes. The unit taught me the different ways that a teacher should approach each type of group and problematic areas were highlighted. The unit provided me with methodologies, activities, and tips for use within the classroom. I learnt about the monolingual and multilingual classrooms and the differences. I also learnt about a needs analysis and how you would apply it while teaching a business English course.
