Unit twenty was a brief overview of common problem situations in the classroom; things I may run into as a TEFL teacher and the best ways to handle them. I learned a bit more on how to handle a first lesson as an experienced teacher would when teaching in a classroom and how to make my classroom a welcoming place; a place where everyone gets a chance to warm up to their fellow students, the teacher, and overall environment of where the classes will take place without placing too much pressure on any one student. I also got a review on handling students at different levels within the same classroom, the smoothest ways to operate larger classes, the best ways to help my students avoid using their native tongue within their English class, how to encourage reluctant/shy students, and best ways to handle anything that comes up with listening to texts.
