In this unit we learnt about how to use a course book properly, it is very interesting to me, because it reflects some problems I face in my hands-on teaching experience. I found out that students are bored and less engaged if I use the course book for the whole lesson, going through the exercises one by one. In the other hands, teaching a course without the aid of a course book was unsystematic and time-consuming for me. Therefore I am glad to learn the insights about using course book in a ESL course in this unit.
