I have learned from this unit that using authentic and created material to bring balance into teaching / learning, use the course book material to set the lesson, modifying the material for each class for level and culture. The authentic material can appeal to the students by giving confidence for real world material and look more professional while the created material can be created specifically for the lesson and the class students (age, culture and interests).
