With this unit I have learned that modal auxiliary verbs 'rules' are learned subconsciously by native speakers, the teaching of them to students will most likely be repetitive so that they can memorise the rules to the point that they can use them instinctively. The active/passive voice I found myself a tricky subject understand fully but with following the structure rules in this unit I hope I have understood to a degree that I can confidently teach the subject to students.
