This unit covers the basics for managing a classroom including use of body language, classroom spatial arrangement, grouping and talk time. Since gestures vary among cultures, I look forward to learning the appropriate gestures of the country where I will teach ESL English. It was interesting to find out about the possibilities of spatial arrangement to encourage learning and create different classroom dynamics. The tips to give instruction, maintain discipline and deal with problem behavior are also useful.
