In this unit I have learnt about the complexity of modal auxiliary verbs and passive voice in detail, as well as the types of phrasal verbs and relative clauses. I now know that modals can be used to express a number of ideas which include obligation, possibility/probability, permission/prohibition, ability and advice. I have also learnt that clauses are groups of words containing a subject and a verb and have 3 categories including independant, dependant and relative.
