Unit 2 introduced me to grammar and its complicated structure. Some of the rules that were mentioned were oblivious to me, even as a native English speaker. Growing up using “a” and “an” was second nature. I was able to properly identify a sentence using the proper indefinite articles and correctly determine whether “a” or “an” should be use. However, until I read this unit, I didn’t realize why. Aside from learning grammar rules I should have already known, unit 2 was a great refresher into the grammar rules that makes up the English language.
