This is a very short section. I think that one of the considerations whether to use course books or authentic materials is the level of the student. Since there is no guarantee of the level of vocabulary in authentic materials, the teacher has to be very careful in selecting them. A newspaper would be written at a much lower level than a professional journal. For beginning students I think course books would be much better for them. I like the examples which were given in this lesson.
