This unit explained the different forms of past tenses. Past simple and past continuous contain a subject however past continuous must include was or were and have the verb end in -ing. Past simple usually contains the verb ending in -Ed or -d, in addition, the verbs used most often have regular past tense words while some have irregular wording. This course also discussed past perfect and past perfect continuous. The difference between the two is that past perfect contains had before before the past participle while past perfect continuous sentence structure must have had been followed by a verb ending in -ing. This course has taught me the how to differentiate past tenses and how to create their sentence structure correctly. In addition I have learned how to structure affirmative, negative, and question sentences correctly for each past tense(s).
