The most important thing I learned from this unit is when to use which types of ESA lessons. When the students are simply learning basic vocab, it is best to use a simple "straight arrow" lesson whereas when teaching language structures it is best to use a "boomerang" approach in order to elicit a high amount of activation. I feel as though this material has been absolutely pivotal to my understanding of lesson planning techniques.
