After studying this unit, I have learnt some valuable concepts as below:
1. The differences in teaching students at the variety of language levels and ages. For example, when teaching the beginners, teachers should use simple language, give clear instructions and never correct all mistakes right away, visual aids play a very important role in teaching a new word/phrase for this level.
Adults learn English with higher motivation rather than the children. When teaching young learners, teachers need use more games, activities and pictures, and especially, never use the learners' mother tonge to translate.
2. Teaching a group of students is much more different from teaching individual students. When teaching a group, teachers can use many types of group activities, as well as games to develop social skills.
3. The unit mentions about how to teach Business English and this area is extremely new to me. I'll take more time to digest this part and study some more.
