This unit focused on the receptive skills of reading and listening. It expressed how both are equally important when learning english though less problems may arise from reading. I also learned that whether the reading or listening is for a purpose or for entertainment determines how we read or listen. This unit lead me to think back on my own experiences with learning languages and analyze how reading and listening where focused on and taught and how I can personally use those skills in my classroom in the future.
