In this unit I leaned about the some advantages and disadvantages of authentic and created materials. The authentic material is generally more interesting and can motive the student because it is real world. This allows the student to gain more confidence with their newly acquired language skills. Some commonly created materials are crossword puzzles, role-play cards, word search puzzles, flashcards, gap-filled activities and picture stories.
