In this unit, it discusses the different ways that are used to asses the students. These are the placement tests, progress tests, diagnosis tests, practice tests and external exams. Placement tests are used to check the knowledge of the new students what they already know and to help the teachers to decide which class they belong. Progress tests are used to measure the progress of the students throughout the course. Diagnosis tests are used at the start of the course to determine which areas that the students are having difficulties. Practice tests are used to prepare the students for external exams. And lastly, external exams are examinations to test the language proficiency of the students like IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, etc.
