My knowledge of the past tenses has been drastically increased by the material of this unit. Before, I only ever saw how we described the past as one uniform tense that encompasses all scenarios, but now I know that that isn't the case. Different situations in the past are described with not one but four different tenses designed to identify past actions with as many specifics as possible. The material on past tenses is yet another of many eye-openers that I have come across in this course.
