Unit 12 focused on the productive skills – speaking and writing. This unit starts off by stating that writing is the most neglected skill in the TEFL world. For that, I would have to agree. In my ESL class, most of the time is spent on speaking, reading, and listening, with minor time spent writing. In the future, when looking to incorporate more writing into my classes, I will take into consideration the student’s needs and desire. By doing so, students will have a bigger chance of participating.
