I've learnt in this unit that there is a huge amount of teaching aids that can be used to vary, increase student participation, make the class more interesting and involve different strategies for teaching. When using different teaching equipment adequate teacher and class preparation and planning is needed but the positives in maintaining interest in the subject matter and also student motivation is well worth the extra time in class preparation. There are literary thousands of online sources for teaching material and this leaves little excuse for teachers not to vary and make their classes as interesting as possible.
