What I think that I have learned in the unit 15, evaluating and testing, is that there are different ways of evaluating students' levels and progress, as well as some of the common external exams that teachers may need to prepare students for. teachers should gives ongoing feedback for students to know their own level and progress. There are a number of ways to assess a student's language level, such as tutorials, evaluation by the students and tests. The tutorials are individually or in groups. It's good to make a review of the work done perhaps the last ten minutes at the end of the week, to discussing the aims of the lessons, how well the students performed the tasks, etc.evaluation by the students can be very efficient for the teacher to analyze the students progress during the course, a questionnaire or guided discussion for evaluating the course of the students. It is often appropriate to give tests at different stages in a course; by giving a placement test at the start to assist the formation of groups of students at the same level. Give a periodic progress test on the work covered as to how they are progressing, or an achievement test, which is usually an internal test given at the end of a course. There are several other tests such as placement tests, Cambridge assessment, general examinations, progress tests, etc.
