I found this unit good review as it is always important to have a good selection of course materials to support lesson plans and teaching methods. The unit was rather basic, however, I found this helpful as often times trying to complicate this topic can lead to confusion when selecting valuable course materials. Noting the distinction between authentic materials and created materials was also useful to me as it also discussed what would be more interesting, and appeal to students more. I found it useful that the items discussed in this unit were explained, and then broken down by advantages and disadvantages. I feel this breakdown gives teachers a clear picture of what should be incorporated and when these materials should be utilised.
