In this unit we were supposed to watch two videos of the same teacher and the same students, only with slight differences as in the teacher's attitude and approach towards the students and the students' response to the teacher and level of participation. The first video contained quite a lot of mistakes - the teacher started an activity immediately after coming into to the classroom with very slight, almost non-existent explanation, which lead to students not being able to follow very well, while in the second video, he first introduced himself and had everybody else introduce themselves and then slowly eased into the activity.
In the first video, the teacher almost always reacted negatively to incorrect answers or low response from the students, while in the second video he didn't - he offered a positive reinforcement which made the student less insecure about their language skills.
Overall, I think it was a very nice example dos and don'ts in the classroom environment.
