In this unit we considered some of the challenging situations encountered in EFL classes and positive ways to handles them. We looked at how to approach the first lesson. I liked the suggestions such as establishing rapport and finding out about students needs and aspirations with English. These types of interactions with students I find interesting and meaningful. I liked the Tell us about board game idea and pass the ball. We were also given practical ways to handle situations such as different levels in the class and large classes. I'm looking forward to applying these approaches to my first teaching assignment!
