This unit taught me the 4 basic skills that are in any language. Reading and listening, and, speaking and writing. The 4 skills are divided into 2 categories, receptive and productive. This unit focused on the receptive skills and taught me about the various specialist skills we use while reading and listening. I also learnt about the problems that a teacher might encounter whilst teaching these skills and potential ways to make the learning easier for the student, increasing their confidence with the skills.
