This lesson broke down the different types of materials a teacher might use in a class. The lesson broke it into two main types: authentic materials and created materials. Personally, I prefer the use of authentic materials, as students seem to become more interested, but created materials are definitely useful for practice of skills (perhaps the study phase of a lesson). Course books were also discussed in this lesson, and there are many advantages and disadvantages to using them, so it is important to really analyze the books being used.
