Unit 11 explained the methods of teaching the receptive skills - reading and listening, detailing the reasons why people read and listen and how we achieve these skills.
I have learned about the different ways we read and listen, such as through our predictive skills or deduction from the context of something. I have also learned that pre-teaching potentially problematic and complex vocabulary is important so that students will be able to understand the contents of a lesson better.
