What I have learned from this unit is how to deal with some of the most common problems that new teachers will inevitably face. Establishing rapport with the students in the first lessons was a particularly valuable insight into the first crucial steps when dealing with a new group. Other similar details such as making sure that the warmers at the beginning of the lesson are fun and short, so as to establish the mood for the rest of the lesson, were also very helpful. Overall, this unit helped to answer a number of questions that I have been asking myself towards the end of this course.
