The content of this unit contained grammatical rules and sentence breakdowns. Grammar is the foundation of language, no matter which you speak. Therefore, it is imperative that it is included heavily when learning a new language. Learning vocabulary is a great place to start, but 1000 words will hold little meaning without the correct syntax and sentence structure. In this unit, I re-learned English grammar rules and ways to identify different parts of speech. I also started to think of creative ways that I would be able to teach children these rules, through the use of graphics and visuals to help them see how sentences and phrases tie together.
