This unit shows how speech can be expressed in either a conditional or reported manner. In conditional speech, the tenses and arrangement of words will can determine how a sentence can be interpreted by the listener. Reported speech is also affected by the tenses of the words, as this can affect the way that the reported speech is structure. I find it useful that there are a few examples on both conditional and reported speech that we can easily utilise when teaching.
