This unit discussed present tenses. The course explained the usages, forms, common student errors and gave teaching ideas to use during an activity. Present simple and present continuous are tenses that both use a verb however, they’re usage and sentence structure differ. Present perfect and present perfect continuous both relate to the past being spoke in the present however, present perfect continuous strictly relates to activities done in the past. This unit has taught me how to identify these tenses, which aren’t new to me however, the terms and how to form their sentence structures are. The student errors presented are typical among non-English speakers as well as those who are native English speakers but have not fully grasped correct grammar.
