Using definition, intonation, stress, phonics, and articulation this lesson covered the hardest (and often overlooked) aspect of teaching English, pronunciation. Pronunciation being the way it is meant to be pronounced and how it comes out. For instance, words are often linked or changed in sounds when combined with other phrases, or when coming from a region of other dialects/accents. It is also noted that in both words and sentences we have a falling rising tone that we use in our sentences that are based mostly on the purpose of the statement. The unit concludes with diagrams of the phonetic alphabet and different methods of perfecting technique to students.
