This unit was extremely eye opening to the many different parts of speech. The unit did a thorough job describing each part of speech and the many components that make up each one. The many examples were very helpful to put these words into context and everyday use. The multiple charts listing different forms of each word was also helpful in showing how the words functioned depending on the tense. I believe this unit held a lot of information that will be important to build off of in later units. I still think I need some practice in memorizing all of the rules and forms of each part of speech but definitely feel I have a better base of understanding. I also would like more examples and ideas on how to teach these terms to children and adults who are not native english speakers. The english language may have a great deal of particularity when it comes to grammar and parts of speech but maybe this is a reason to claim it as special as it is.
